Standard Chartered EaseMyTrip Credit Card

Mid-tierFee variesRewardsTravel

The SC EaseMyTrip is a ₹350 travel co-brand whose value sits almost entirely in booking discounts rather than rewards. Using promo code EMTSCB on EaseMyTrip you get a flat 20% off participating hotels (capped ₹5,000 domestic, ₹10,000 international), 10% off flights (capped ₹1,000 domestic, ₹5,000 international) and ₹125 off bus tickets over ₹500 — but each discount category can be used only once per calendar month per card (T&C cl. 8g); primary and supplementary cards each get their own allowance. The counterintuitive part is the points: the 10 RP per ₹100 accelerator applies to standalone airline and hotel websites and apps — explicitly NOT to bookings made on EaseMyTrip itself, which earn the 2 RP per ₹100 base. At SC's stated 1 RP = ₹0.25 that is 2.5% on standalone travel and 0.5% everywhere else, with no monthly cap. Two domestic lounge visits a year remain; international lounge access was withdrawn on 15 October 2024.

Key features

What this card is built to do — the highlights that actually matter.

2.5% on Travel

10 RP per ₹100 booking flights and hotels direct with the airline or hotel (~2.5% at 25p). Does not apply to bookings on EaseMyTrip itself, which earn the base rate — you take the 20%/10% discount there instead.

0.5% on Other

2 RP per ₹100 on all other retail spends (~0.5% at 25p). No monthly cap on points earned. Points expire 2 years from the date earned and redeem only against the 360 Rewards catalogue.

️ Airport Lounge Access

2 complimentary domestic lounge visits per calendar year via the Visa domestic lounge programme. International lounge access (in and outside India) was discontinued with effect from 15 October 2024

Should you get it?

Best for: Regular EaseMyTrip bookers who will use the 20% hotel discount, Occasional travellers wanting a cheap second card for trips, First-time cardholders easing into a travel card

Entry tier — great for first-time and lower-spend users.

Strongest value if you spend heavily on Travel ( 2.5% back).

Frequent travellers benefit from the included airport lounge access.

✓ Pros

  • 20% off hotels and 10% off flights on EaseMyTrip — one booking can repay the ₹350 fee many times over
  • 2.5% effective on flights and hotels booked direct with the airline or hotel
  • No monthly cap on reward points
  • Low ₹350 fee that waives at just ₹50,000 of annual spend
  • Open to applicants from age 18

✕ Cons

  • Each discount category works only once per calendar month per card — a second hotel booking in the same month gets no discount
  • The 10x accelerator excludes EaseMyTrip's own site — you cannot stack the discount and the bonus points
  • Base earn is a thin 0.5% once SC's 25-paisa point value is applied
  • Points redeem only against the 360 Rewards catalogue — no statement-credit option
  • Reward points expire 2 years after they are earned
  • International lounge access was withdrawn on 15 October 2024; only 2 domestic visits a year remain

The concern The 10x accelerator does not apply on EaseMyTrip's own site — the discount and the bonus points are mutually exclusive, which is the opposite of what a co-brand usually implies.

The bottom line

When utilized for its headline booking discounts, the EaseMyTrip card offers outstanding value against its modest ₹350 annual fee: a single hotel or flight booking with 20% or 10% off can easily recoup the holding cost. From a pure rewards standpoint, however, the card is modest—the baseline return is 0.5%, and the 2.5% travel accelerator applies only to direct merchant portals rather than EaseMyTrip itself. Provided you separate the direct discount portal bookings from direct airline spends, it serves as a low-cost, effective travel tool.
