Standard Chartered DigiSmart Credit Card
The DigiSmart has one of the smartest fee models in Indian credit cards. There is no annual fee at all — instead a ₹49 monthly fee that Standard Chartered reverses in any month you spend ₹5,000, so the card costs nothing in every month you actually use it. The value comes entirely from partner discounts, not from points — Standard Chartered awards no reward points on DigiSmart spends. Today that means 10% off Blinkit (capped ₹1,000/month), 10% off Zomato (max ₹150 a transaction, five a month), buy-one-get-one INOX movie tickets at weekends, 15% cashback on Ola (₹600/month cap) and instant discounts on Yatra flights and hotels. Apply with the promo code DIGISMART where the partner asks for one.

Mid tier — a solid all-rounder for steady monthly spend.
Strongest value if you spend heavily on Travel ( 15% back).
✓ Pros
- No annual fee — ₹49/month, and that is reversed in any month you spend ₹5,000
- 10% off Blinkit (up to ₹1,000/month) — real money off weekly grocery runs
- 10% off Zomato, five orders a month, with no minimum spend
- 15% cashback on Ola (₹600/month cap) plus buy-one-get-one INOX tickets at weekends
- Instant discounts on Yatra — 20% off domestic flights, 25% off domestic hotels
✕ Cons
- No base rewards at all — spend outside the partner list and the card earns nothing
- All value is partner-specific, so it only works if you already use Blinkit, Zomato, Ola or INOX
- Standard Chartered can change or remove partners at its discretion (Myntra was dropped in 2025)
- No lounge access and a 3.5% forex markup — purely a domestic online-spend card
Eligibility & documents
Age
21 –65 years
Min. income
₹50,000 /mo
How to redeem rewards
Ways to convert what you earn into real value.
🎁 Benefits are instant discounts and cashback at partner brands, not redeemable points
What your Cashback are worth
Realistic value per point by redemption route — the difference is what most people leave on the table.
Statement credit Direct cash adjustment — no conversion
The concern All value is locked to a handful of merchants and there is no base earn rate whatsoever — spend outside Blinkit, Zomato, Ola, INOX and Yatra and the card returns zero. Standard Chartered can also change or drop partners at its discretion, as it did when Myntra left the programme.
The bottom line
DigiSmart offers practical utility as a focused lifestyle discount card. For users who frequently spend on Blinkit, Zomato, Ola, and INOX, the recurring merchant savings readily surpass the ₹49 monthly fee—which is eliminated upon reaching ₹5,000 in monthly spends. Because non-partner transactions yield zero rewards, the card is not designed as a standalone everyday driver, but rather as an effective secondary tool to capture instant discounts alongside a primary rewards card.

Myntra 20% instant discount withdrawn
20% off Myntra, up to ₹700/month → Myntra offer removed
Standard Chartered discontinued the DigiSmart card's flagship Myntra benefit — a 20% instant discount capped at ₹700 a month — with effect from 1 March 2025. It was one of the card's headline partner offers, so its removal materially thins the discount roster for holders who shopped on Myntra.

1% fee added on rent payments
No rent-payment fee → 1% of the rent transaction
Standard Chartered began levying a 1% processing fee on all rental payments made with its credit cards, effective 2 April 2023. This was a bank-wide change that applied to the DigiSmart, which was already in issue at the time, though it bites only holders who route rent through the card.
