Shaurya Select SBI Card
The Shaurya Select SBI Card is the step-up defence card for serving and retired armed-forces members — first year free, then a ₹1,499 renewal reversed at ₹1.5 lakh of annual spend. It pays 10 Reward Points per ₹100 (~2.5%) on dining, movies, departmental stores, grocery and CSD canteen spends — SBI markets that as 5X, which is 5× this card's 2-point base, not the entry Shaurya's 1-point base — capped at 6,000 points a calendar month across those categories together, and 2 points per ₹100 (~0.5%) everywhere else. On top of the earning it adds 4 domestic airport lounge visits a year, 24x7 concierge and milestone vouchers worth up to ₹7,000 on ₹5 lakh spend. Points are worth ₹0.25 each, and a 1% fuel surcharge waiver applies.

The bottom line
Shaurya Select SBI Card is a well-rounded mid-tier offering for defence personnel with moderate-to-high annual spending, pairing a first-year fee waiver and 10 RP per ₹100 (~2.5% return) on CSD canteens, groceries, and dining with domestic lounge privileges and milestone vouchers. Spending ₹1.5 lakh comfortably waives the renewal fee, delivering substantially richer earning potential than the entry-level Shaurya variant.
