RBL Bank World Safari Lite Credit Card
The RBL World Safari Lite is the cheaper sibling of the RBL World Safari, bringing the family's signature 0% forex markup down to a ₹1,000 + GST annual fee. It earns 5X — 5 reward points per ₹100 — on flights and hotels booked via the RBL Bank rewards portal and 1 point per ₹100 on eligible domestic travel — and nothing at all on general spending, because RBL publishes no base rate for this card. A ₹1,000 welcome voucher bundle (Ixigo, Swiggy One, OTTplay) offsets year one, and milestones add 5,000 points at ₹2.5 lakh and 10,000 points at ₹5 lakh of annual spend. Lounge access is modest and spend-gated: one domestic and one international visit per quarter, each unlocked by ₹50,000 of spend in the previous quarter.

The concern Lounge access is limited and needs ₹50,000 of prior-quarter spend, and rewards are confined to travel — general spending earns nothing; the usual RBL caveat on conversion rates applies to the 0% forex claim.
The bottom line
The World Safari Lite delivers RBL's zero-forex markup capability at an accessible price point, making it an appealing option for occasional international travellers seeking to minimise foreign transaction charges. The card involves evident trade-offs: general retail transactions earn no reward points, and lounge visits are limited and spend-contingent. However, with an annual fee of ₹1,000 offset by initial welcome vouchers, it offers clear utility for foreign-currency expenditure.

World Safari Lite launched — the affordable 0% forex sibling
RBL Bank launched the World Safari Lite Credit Card, the cheaper ₹1,000 + GST sibling of the ₹3,000 World Safari, keeping the family's signature 0% foreign-currency markup. It earns 5 reward points per ₹100 on flights and hotels booked via the RBL Bank rewards portal and 1 point per ₹100 on eligible domestic travel, bundles a ₹1,000+ welcome voucher set (Ixigo, Swiggy One, OTTplay) on first spend, adds 5,000-point and 10,000-point milestones at ₹2.5 lakh and ₹5 lakh annual spend, and includes one domestic and one international lounge visit per quarter, each unlocked by ₹50,000 of prior-quarter spend.

▼ Fee Observed Jan 2026 · Effective 7 Jan 2026
New 1% fee on large FASTag top-ups and toll payments
No FASTag or toll transaction fee → 1% fee on any FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000
From 7 January 2026 RBL Bank charges a 1% fee on any single FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000, measured per transaction per card, across merchant category codes 4784, 4111 and 4131. Because the threshold is per transaction rather than a monthly aggregate, it bites on one-off large FASTag top-ups rather than on regular commuting; splitting a top-up below ₹10,000 avoids it. The fee sits alongside RBL's existing 1% charges on rent, on utility spends above ₹50,000 a month, on fuel transactions above ₹10,000, and on education payments routed through third-party apps. It is a fee on the transaction, not a change to reward earning — these categories already earn no reward points on most RBL cards.
