RBL Bank TVS Gold Credit Card
The RBL TVS Gold Credit Card is the step-up co-brand over the base TVS card, at a ₹1,500 fee. It earns 2 reward points per ₹100 on domestic spends and 10 points per ₹100 on international spends (points ≈ ₹0.25, so about 0.5% domestic and 2.5% international). The real value sits in the perks — a 6,000-point welcome bonus, 5% EazyDiner cashback up to ₹250 a month, ₹500 quarterly vouchers on ₹50,000 of quarterly spend, domestic and international airport-lounge access on spend thresholds, and a ₹200/month fuel surcharge waiver. A wide exclusion list (fuel, utilities, rent, insurance, wallets, EMI) keeps earning to core retail. RBL publishes no spend-based waiver on the ₹1,500 + GST fee, so it recurs every year and the perks have to carry it.

- Domestic and international airport-lounge access on spend thresholds
- 5% EazyDiner dining cashback (up to ₹250/month) and quarterly ₹500 vouchers
- 10 points per ₹100 (~2.5%) on international spends
✕ Cons
- Domestic earn is only about 0.5% once points are valued at ₹0.25

- Wide exclusion list — fuel, utilities, rent, insurance, wallets and EMI do not earn
- ₹1,500 fee is steep for the base reward rate; needs the perks to pay off
- No spend-based fee waiver — RBL publishes none for this card, so the ₹1,500 recurs every year
- ₹99 + GST reward redemption fee via the RBL rewards portal

The concern The domestic reward rate is low once points are valued honestly (~0.5%), lounge and voucher benefits are gated behind quarterly spend thresholds, and the same wide exclusion list means fuel, utilities and rent earn nothing.
The bottom line
The TVS Gold doubles the earn rate of the entry-level TVS card to 1% online and 0.5% offline while expanding executive railway lounge access to two visits per quarter. However, because the ₹1,500 annual fee offers no spending waiver and everyday categories like utilities and fuel earn no rewards, the card requires deliberate online spending and regular travel use to justify its recurring cost over competing cashback cards.

▼ Fee Observed Jan 2026 · Effective 7 Jan 2026
New 1% fee on large FASTag top-ups and toll payments
No FASTag or toll transaction fee → 1% fee on any FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000
From 7 January 2026 RBL Bank charges a 1% fee on any single FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000, measured per transaction per card, across merchant category codes 4784, 4111 and 4131. Because the threshold is per transaction rather than a monthly aggregate, it bites on one-off large FASTag top-ups rather than on regular commuting; splitting a top-up below ₹10,000 avoids it. The fee sits alongside RBL's existing 1% charges on rent, on utility spends above ₹50,000 a month, on fuel transactions above ₹10,000, and on education payments routed through third-party apps. It is a fee on the transaction, not a change to reward earning — these categories already earn no reward points on most RBL cards.

▼ Reward Effective 15 Oct 2024
Milestone & reward points excluded on many categories
Most spends counted for milestones/points → Key categories excluded from milestones & points
Effective 15 October 2024 RBL narrowed earning across its cards: bonus milestone points stopped accruing on Fuel & Auto, Utilities, Insurance, Quasi-Cash, Railways, Real Estate/Rental, Education, Wallet and similar categories, and no base reward points at all on Education, Government Services, Contracted Services, Cash and Bills2Pay. On the TVS Gold this shrinks the spend base that reaches the ₹2.5 lakh annual milestone and the ₹50,000-a-quarter voucher thresholds.

▼ Fee Effective 15 Oct 2024
New 1% fee on large fuel & auto transactions
No transaction fee on fuel/auto → 1% on each fuel/auto txn over ₹10,000
From 15 October 2024 RBL added a 1% fee on every fuel and auto transaction exceeding ₹10,000, capped at ₹3,000 per transaction, alongside new 1% fees on high-value utility spends (over ₹50,000/month) and third-party-app education payments. This is separate from the card's standard 1% fuel-surcharge waiver on ₹400–5,000 fuel spends, which continues.

RBL Bank and TVS Credit launched the TVS Gold Credit Card as the ₹1,500 step-up over the base TVS card. It earned 2 reward points per ₹100 on domestic spends and 10 per ₹100 on international spends (points ≈ ₹0.25), a 6,000-point welcome bonus, 5% EazyDiner dining cashback (capped ₹250/month), ₹500 quarterly vouchers on ₹50,000 of quarterly spend, spend-gated domestic and international lounge access and a ₹200/month fuel-surcharge waiver, with fuel, utilities, rent, insurance, wallets and EMI excluded from earning. Exact launch date is undocumented; the TVS Credit co-brand line was in market by 2023.
