IndusInd Bank Jio-bp Mobility+ Credit Card
The IndusInd Bank Jio-bp Mobility+ is a focused fuel and mobility co-brand with Reliance's Jio-bp network, built for drivers who fill up at Jio-bp. At Jio-bp outlets it earns 12 Smiles per ₹100 (worth ~3% at ₹0.25 a Smile) on petrol, diesel, Castrol lubes, wildbean cafe and the convenience store, plus a 1% fuel surcharge waiver at Jio-bp — about 4% back in total — capped at 1,200 Smiles a statement cycle (roughly ₹10,000 of Jio-bp spend a month). Away from the pump there is a second tier most write-ups miss: dining, supermarket and grocery spends earn 5 Smiles per ₹100 (~1.25%). Everything else, including RuPay UPI spends, earns a flat 2 Smiles per ₹100. It is a RuPay card, so it links to UPI. The ₹499 + GST joining fee is waived on ₹10,000 of spend within the first 90 days and the renewal fee is nil, so for an active user it is effectively free to hold. Welcome perks are 400 Smiles on the first Jio-bp transaction and a ₹200 wildbean cafe coupon, and there is a 24x7 roadside-assistance helpline in six cities. Milestones add up to 4,000 Smiles a year plus 200 Smiles a cycle on Jio-bp spend.

Welcome Benefit
~₹300 in vouchers, points or cashback on card activation
3% on Fuel
12 Smiles/₹100 (~3% at ₹0.25/Smile) at participating Jio-bp outlets — fuel, Castrol lubes, wildbean cafe, store, and Jio-bp Pulse EV charging — capped 1,200 Smiles/statement cycle, plus a 1% fuel surcharge waiver only at Jio-bp (~4% total)
1.25% on Dining
5 Smiles per ₹100 (~1.25% at ₹0.25/Smile) on dining, from IndusInd's own earn table. Ungated — this tier is not tied to the Jio-bp network the way the 12-Smiles fuel rate is.

Milestone Bonus
~₹500 in bonus rewards on hitting annual spend milestones

Perks & benefits
Estimated annual value beyond rewards — ~₹2,800/yr in total.
fuel waiver ~ ₹1,200 /yr
1% fuel surcharge waiver at Jio-bp outlets only — IndusInd states there is no waiver at non-Jio-bp stations. Band and cap are DERIVED, not published for this card; the 5-May-2024 notice does not name it, so it falls to the Other Cards row of ₹500 to ₹3,000 per transaction, ₹100 a cycle.
milestone bonus ~ ₹500 /yr
2,000 bonus Smiles on the first ₹1 lakh of spend in a card anniversary year (IndusInd annual milestone 1)
milestone bonus ~ ₹500 /yr
A further 2,000 bonus Smiles on the NEXT ₹1 lakh of spend, i.e. at ₹2 lakh in a card anniversary year (IndusInd annual milestone 2). Encoded INCREMENTALLY because the engine sums milestone rows, so ₹2 lakh of spend earns 4,000 Smiles in total across both rows.
milestone bonus ~ ₹600 /yr
200 Smiles for ₹4,000 or more of spend in a statement cycle, and only on the Jio-bp ecosystem. ANNUALISED here — ₹48,000 is the annual equivalent of ₹4,000 a cycle, and the threshold must be met with Jio-bp-ecosystem spend, not total spend, so a general spender will not earn this.
Milestone ladder
- 1₹1,00,000 a year₹500 of value
- 2₹2,00,000 a year₹500 of value
Should you get it?
Best for: Drivers whose regular fuel station is a Jio-bp outlet, Commuters spending up to ~₹10,000 a month on Jio-bp fuel, RuPay-UPI users who want a fuel-focused card in their wallet
Mid tier — a solid all-rounder for steady monthly spend.
Strongest value if you spend heavily on Fuel ( 3% back).
✓ Pros
- About 4% back at Jio-bp (12 Smiles/₹100 plus 1% surcharge waiver), Jio-bp Pulse EV charging included
- 5 Smiles per ₹100 (~1.25%) on dining, supermarket and grocery spends, with no merchant tie-in
- Milestones worth up to 4,000 Smiles a year, plus 200 Smiles a cycle on ₹4,000 of Jio-bp spend
- Nil renewal fee, and the joining fee is waived on ₹10,000 spend in 90 days
- RuPay UPI-linked for everyday scan-and-pay
- Welcome 400 Smiles and a ₹200 wildbean cafe coupon
- 24x7 roadside assistance — repair, towing and emergency help — in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bangalore
✕ Cons
- The 12-Smiles rate and 1% surcharge waiver apply only at participating Jio-bp outlets — not at other fuel stations
- Jio-bp earning is capped at 1,200 Smiles a statement cycle (~₹10,000 of Jio-bp spend), and Jio-bp Pulse EV charging shares that same cap
- Outside dining, supermarket and grocery (5 Smiles per ₹100), everything else earns a flat 2 Smiles per ₹100
- Rent, insurance, government, utility payments and fuel bought at non-Jio-bp stations earn nothing at all
- Smiles redeem at roughly ₹0.25 each on our own estimate — IndusInd publishes no rupee value for a Smile
- Redemption is at the pump; IndusInd publishes no statement-credit or online-catalogue route for Smiles
- Roadside assistance covers only six cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bangalore
- ₹499 + GST joining fee unless you spend ₹10,000 within the first 90 days
- From 15 June 2026 IndusInd charges 1% + GST on fuel spends above ₹30,000 a statement cycle, a 2% + GST dynamic-currency-conversion fee when an overseas merchant bills you in rupees (on top of the 3.5% forex markup, not instead of it), and 1% + GST on transport spends above ₹40,000 a cycle

The concern The headline value is locked to Jio-bp outlets — fill up anywhere else and you earn just 2 Smiles per ₹100, the fuel rate is capped at 1,200 Smiles a cycle, and Smiles are worth only ~₹0.25, a rate IndusInd itself does not publish.
The bottom line
Delivering an effective return of around 4% (combining 3% in Smiles with a 1% surcharge waiver) at branded outlets, zero recurring annual fees, and UPI support over RuPay, the Jio-bp Mobility+ serves regular Jio-bp patrons well. That said, rewards cannot be converted outside Jio-bp forecourts, competing fuel bunks receive neither waivers nor elevated earnings, and categories like utilities, rent, and insurance are entirely excluded. It functions well as a low-overhead card for loyal Jio-bp motorists, but holds little appeal beyond that specific ecosystem.

Dynamic Currency Conversion fee doubled 1% → 2%
1% + taxes → 2% + GST
From 15 June 2026 the Dynamic Currency Conversion mark-up — levied when an international transaction, or one at an India-based merchant registered overseas, is billed in rupees rather than the local currency — doubled from 1% to 2% + GST on this card. Premium variants were held at 1%. Marginal on a domestic fuel card, and avoidable: always choose to be billed in the merchant's local currency.

Fuel fee threshold cut ₹50,000 → ₹30,000 — on a fuel card
1% + GST above ₹50,000/cycle → 1% + GST above ₹30,000/cycle
From 15 June 2026 IndusInd charges 1% + GST on cumulative fuel spends above ₹30,000 in a statement cycle — down from ₹50,000 — and it placed its own fuel co-brand in the lower tier rather than the ₹50,000 premium tier. That is pointed on a card sold for fuel: a household filling up more than ₹30,000 a cycle at Jio-bp now pays 1% + GST on the excess, on top of an accelerated earn rate that already stops at 1,200 Smiles (~₹10,000 of Jio-bp spend) a cycle. The fee is separate from the card's 1% fuel surcharge waiver.

New 1% fee on transport spends above ₹40,000 a cycle
No transport fee → 1% + GST above ₹40,000/cycle
From 15 June 2026 IndusInd levies 1% + GST on cumulative transport spends above ₹40,000 in a statement cycle — MCCs 4111, 4112, 4131 and 4784, covering cabs, rail, bus and tolls. Air travel is excluded. Only Pioneer Private, Pioneer Heritage and Indus Solitaire are exempt, so this card is in scope — worth noting on a mobility-branded product, though tolls and cabs sit outside the Jio-bp earning ecosystem anyway.

2025 2 changes — 1 cut, 1 neutral
▼ Benefit Effective 21 Dec 2025
Complimentary air-accident insurance withdrawn
Complimentary air-accident cover provided with the card → No air-accident cover
On 21 December 2025 IndusInd discontinued the complimentary air-accident insurance feature across its credit cards, stating simply that the coverage "stands discontinued". The bank published no replacement and named no exempt card. Note that several IndusInd product pages still described the cover months afterwards — the Avios, Duo, Pioneer Private and Platinum pages all still advertised it in August 2026 — so a reader may encounter the old wording on IndusInd's own site; the dated withdrawal notice is the operative statement. Other insurance benefits are unaffected: lost-card liability, Total Protect fraud cover, travel insurance and purchase protection continue where the card carried them.
