IndiGo Ka-ching Kotak 6E Rewards XL Credit Card

Mid-tierFee variesRewardsTravelDining

If you fly IndiGo, the IndiGo Ka-ching Kotak 6E Rewards XL is the single best card for it — accelerated earning on IndiGo bookings, plus dining, movies and groceries and a base rate on all other retail, 8 lounge visits a year (2/quarter) and a welcome IndiGo flight ticket. Kotak has since withdrawn this card's product pages, so the exact category rates it last published can no longer be verified against an issuer source and are not restated here. For the fly-IndiGo-weekly traveller it is effectively a fare discount. The XL variant costs ₹2,500 joining / ₹1,500 a year. The one thing to understand: IndiGo moved the reward currency from 6E Rewards to BluChips in October 2025.

1.26% on Dining

The concern BluChips (formerly 6E Rewards) are airline scrip that IndiGo can devalue at its discretion, and the value is concentrated in IndiGo spend — light IndiGo flyers will not justify the ₹1,500 renewal.

The bottom line

There's no application to make here anymore — the card has been discontinued. During its run, the earn rate on IndiGo bookings was strong enough to work like a standing fare discount for anyone flying the airline weekly, and the 8 annual lounge visits went a long way toward covering the renewal cost. Existing holders were shifted onto the IndiGo Kotak Credit Card and kept their original fee rather than being pushed up to the pricier ₹3,000 tier. Anyone shopping for an IndiGo co-brand card today should look past the headline number and check what the card itself actually pays — every issuer's "up to" figure folds in the same 16 BluChips per ₹100 that IndiGo hands out on its own for booking direct (12) and for holding Blu 1 status (4), benefits any BluChip member gets regardless of which card they carry. Once that's stripped away, the real card-driven rates are SBI ELITE and Axis Premium at 7 per ₹100, IDFC FIRST at 6, and Kotak's XL at 5 — the ranking matches the marketing, but the actual gap between cards is much wider than a 23-versus-21 comparison implies.
