IDFC FIRST Private Credit Card

Super-premiumFee variesRewardsTravelDining

The IDFC FIRST Private is IDFC FIRST Bank's invite-only super-premium card, extended largely to the bank's Wealth and Private Banking relationships. It earns a flat 10 reward points per ₹150 on eligible domestic spends with no monthly threshold (points never expire), 5X on international spends, pairs zero forex markup with unlimited domestic and international lounge access and unlimited golf, and adds up to ₹1,500 off movie and event bookings on BookMyShow every month, 24x7 concierge and surcharge-free rent payments. In keeping with IDFC's no-fine-print positioning it carries no late-payment or over-limit fees. The ₹50,000 commencement fee (₹25,000 annually from the second year) is offset for new members by a 50,000-point commencement benefit on cards issued on or after 17 July 2026; spend-based milestones were discontinued from the same date. Invite-only — there is no public application form.

Eligibility

IDFC publishes no eligibility criteria for this card — no minimum income, no age band, no credit-score floor, and no document checklist. That is not an oversight on our part: the card is issued strictly by invitation, there is no public application form, and so there is nothing to qualify for in the usual sense. Any specific salary figure you see quoted for it elsewhere has been inferred by a third party, not stated by the bank.

What actually decides an invitation is the relationship behind it — balances held with the bank, spend on an existing card, and the banking segment you sit in. We set those signals out in how to get an invitation above, labelled for what they are: observed patterns, not published criteria.

The concern The ₹50,000 commencement fee and ₹25,000 recurring fee need heavy, travel-led spending to justify, and access is invite-only — most applicants will not qualify without an existing IDFC Wealth / Private relationship.

The bottom line

This is a refined, feature-dense super-premium card carrying IDFC's trademark no-penalty-fee approach, points that never expire, and a solid travel package. Between the ₹50,000 commencement fee (dropping to ₹25,000 in subsequent years) and its invitation-only access, it's really built for high spenders already embedded in the IDFC relationship.
