HDFC PIXEL Go Credit Card

Mid-tierFee variesCashbackTravel

Sitting one notch under the Pixel Play in HDFC's digital PIXEL lineup, the Pixel Go strips the line-up down to basics: an uncapped 1% cashback on virtually everything you spend (paid out as PIXEL CashPoints at a straight ₹1-per-point value), a 5% rate on purchases routed through HDFC SmartBuy up to 500 CashPoints monthly, and 1% on UPI transactions when you use the RuPay side of the card. Compared with the Pixel Play, you lose the ability to pick your own 5% merchant packs and the 3% rate on a nominated platform — lounge access isn't part of that trade-off, since neither PIXEL card offers it. The upside is a joining fee that's half the Play's: ₹250 versus ₹500. Hit ₹10,000 in spending within the first 90 days and that joining fee comes back to you; cross ₹50,000 in a card year and the renewal fee disappears too. As with other PIXEL cards, HDFC issues this one on two networks by default — a RuPay digital card paired with a physical Visa card, both drawing from the same credit line and appearing on one statement. Categories like fuel, rent, EMIs, wallet top-ups, gift-card purchases, vouchers, government payments and cash advances earn zero CashPoints. Overall it's a straightforward, entirely digital card meant for a first-time applicant, issued on the spot through PayZapp.

Should you get it?

Best for: digital-first first-time cardholders wanting a simple, flat-rate cashback card, and UPI-heavy users on the RuPay variant who don't need lounge access.

An entry-tier card, well suited to first-time and lower-spend users.

Value is strongest for shoppers who route spend through its online shopping category.

✓ Pros

  • Straightforward 1% cashback on nearly all spending, with no cap
  • 5% via HDFC SmartBuy and 1% on RuPay-routed UPI payments, with a Visa card issued alongside as standard
  • Modest ₹250 fee that's easy to get reversed or waived through routine spend
  • Entirely digital with instant issuance through PayZapp

✕ Cons

  • The flat 1% base rate is nothing special — you don't get the Pixel Play's customisable 5% category packs
  • No lounge access on this card, though the Play lacks it too, so it isn't a point in the Play's favour
  • CashPoints can only be redeemed via PayZapp, with a 500-point minimum — HDFC offers no statement-credit alternative
  • Categories like fuel, rent, EMIs, wallet and gift-card top-ups, vouchers, government payments and cash advances earn nothing
  • Purchases under ₹100 don't generate any CashPoints

The concern By 2026 standards, a flat 1% rate doesn't stand out — lacking the Pixel Play's 5% category packs, even a moderate spender would likely earn more with a dedicated cashback card elsewhere.

The bottom line

As a no-nonsense flat-1% digital card at a modest ₹250 fee, the Pixel Go delivers exactly what it promises. Choosing it over the Pixel Play makes sense mainly if you'd rather keep things simple and pay less than chase the Play's three separately-capped bonus categories — for most spenders, the Play's extra earning potential will outweigh the ₹250 fee gap. Since neither card comes with lounge access, that's a non-factor in the comparison. It works well as a clean, instant first card, though it's not built for anyone trying to maximise rewards.
