Flipkart Axis Bank Super Elite Credit Card

Super-premiumFee variesCashbackTravel

The Flipkart Axis Super Elite differs from the base Flipkart Axis card in one key way: instead of direct cashback, it earns Flipkart SuperCoins. Flipkart Plus members earn 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 spent on Flipkart, capped at 300 coins per transaction, while non-Plus members earn half that at 6 per ₹100, capped at 150. Both caps bind at ₹2,500 of Flipkart spend in a single order. Everything else earns a flat 2 SuperCoins per ₹100. SuperCoins redeem best as Flipkart gift vouchers, occasionally reaching 1 SuperCoin = ₹1, though that availability fluctuates, so a more realistic average value is closer to ₹0.50 per coin. The welcome kit includes 500 SuperCoins plus trial memberships for a few lifestyle apps. The ₹590 annual fee waives once you cross ₹2 lakh in yearly spend. There's no airport lounge access, and several categories including EMI conversions, gift cards, fuel, rent, and wallet loads earn nothing. Note: new applications for this card are currently paused.

Should you get it?

This card makes sense specifically for Flipkart Plus members who shop heavily on Flipkart and will actually redeem SuperCoins for gift vouchers when they're available. If you don't shop on Flipkart often, or aren't a Plus member, the value proposition drops significantly since the non-Flipkart earn rate and non-Plus Flipkart rate are both fairly modest.

✓ Pros

  • A strong 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart for Plus members (6 for non-Plus). A useful welcome bonus of 500 SuperCoins plus a few trial subscriptions. The fee waives entirely at ₹2 lakh of annual spend. A modest but real 2 SuperCoins per ₹100 on non-Flipkart spending.

✕ Cons

  • Rewards are Flipkart SuperCoins, not cash — real value depends on gift-voucher availability, which fluctuates. The headline 12x rate requires a paid Flipkart Plus membership. There's no airport lounge access at all. And the 3.5% forex markup makes it a poor choice for international spending.

Eligibility & documents

Applicants need to be between 21 and 60 years old with a minimum monthly income of ₹25,000, open to both salaried and self-employed individuals. You'll typically need a PAN card, Aadhaar or valid address proof, the last three months of bank statements, income documentation, and a recent photograph.

How to redeem rewards

SuperCoins redeem best as Flipkart gift vouchers, occasionally at up to 1 SuperCoin = ₹1, though availability of this redemption route varies. They can also be used directly on Flipkart purchases or through partner offers in the SuperCoins Zone, though value there is more variable.

What your SuperCoins are worth

SuperCoins are store credit rather than cash, so their real value depends heavily on what's available to redeem them against at any given time. At best, a gift voucher redemption can hit 1 SuperCoin = ₹1, but that availability comes and goes, so a more realistic average is closer to ₹0.50 per coin. Given this variability, it's worth thinking of the card's effective Flipkart earn rate as closer to 6% than the headline 12%, and its non-Flipkart rate as closer to 1% than 2%.

The bottom line

The Super Elite only makes sense if you're a Flipkart Plus member and a genuine regular Flipkart shopper. The headline 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 looks generous, but since SuperCoins are store credit with variable redemption value, it's more realistic to treat the effective return as roughly half the headline figure. Off Flipkart, the card is unremarkable, and there's no lounge access at all. If you'd rather have straightforward cashback on Flipkart and Myntra, the base Flipkart Axis card pays a direct statement credit and is the simpler choice for most shoppers.
