EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Platinum Credit Card

Mid-tierFee variesRewardsTravelDining

The EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Platinum is the lifetime-free, entry-tier sibling of the ₹2,999 EazyDiner Signature card — same dining engine, no fee. Its value is the dining stack: a complimentary 3-month EazyDiner Prime membership (worth ₹1,095) gets you a guaranteed 25% up to 50% off at 2,000+ partner restaurants and bars, and paying the bill through the EazyDiner app via PayEazy adds an extra 20% off up to ₹500, valid up to three times a month. The Prime membership renews for another three months on ₹30,000 of spend every 90 days. There is also a BookMyShow buy-one-get-one on movie tickets, one booking a month, with the free ticket capped at ₹200 and ₹50 off if you add food and drink. On everyday spends it earns 2 reward points per ₹100 (0.7 RP on insurance, rent, utility and government; fuel earns nothing), and points redeem at ₹0.20 each — so the base earn is a thin 0.4%. The card issues on Visa and RuPay, and the RuPay variant links to UPI, so you can scan a merchant QR and pay from the credit line. There is no lounge access and no travel benefit.

✓ Pros

  • Lifetime-free, yet carries a genuine repeatable dining benefit
  • Guaranteed 25% up to 50% off at 2,000+ EazyDiner restaurants via complimentary EazyDiner Prime
  • Extra 20% off up to ₹500 (3 times a month) when paying via PayEazy — stacks on the Prime discount
  • BookMyShow buy-one-get-one on movie tickets, one booking a month, free ticket capped ₹200, plus ₹50 off on food and drink
  • Credit Card on UPI on the RuPay variant — scan any merchant QR and pay from the credit line
  • 500 welcome EazyPoints and instant point redemption against restaurant bills

✕ Cons

  • Value is heavily network-dependent — check your favourite restaurants are on EazyDiner before applying
  • Base reward rate is a thin 0.4% (2 RP per ₹100 at ₹0.20/point), and no lounge access at all — IndusInd's MITC states Priority Pass is not available on either EazyDiner card
  • Rent, utility, insurance and government spends earn a reduced 0.7 RP per ₹100 (0.14%), and fuel earns nothing
  • The extra 20% PayEazy discount is capped at ₹500 per transaction and only three times a month, and needs you to pay through the EazyDiner app
  • Reward points expire at the completion of every anniversary year, and both reward points and EazyPoints can be redeemed only inside the EazyDiner app — there is no offline route
  • Credit Card on UPI works only on the RuPay variant of the card
  • From 15 June 2026 IndusInd charges 1% + GST on fuel spends above ₹30,000 a statement cycle, a 2% + GST dynamic-currency-conversion fee when an overseas merchant bills you in rupees (on top of the 3.5% forex markup, not instead of it), and 1% + GST on transport spends above ₹40,000 a cycle

How to redeem rewards

Ways to convert what you earn into real value.

🎁 Instant redemption of reward points and EazyPoints against restaurant bills, inside the EazyDiner app

🎁 EazyDiner Prime for discounted dining at partner restaurants

🎁 The EazyDiner app's own catalogue (vouchers, hotel stays, meals) — IndusInd publishes no offline redemption route for this card, and points cannot be redeemed against a cash credit

The concern The entire value is tied to the EazyDiner restaurant network and app — where coverage thins out the card goes dark, and the 0.4% base reward rate offers little to fall back on.

The bottom line

It's unusual to find a lifetime-free card that delivers genuine, ongoing value — but this one manages it for the right person. If EazyDiner is already how you book tables, the guaranteed 25%+ discount combined with the extra 20% off through PayEazy amounts to real, recurring savings, and the monthly BookMyShow deal adds a small bonus on top. Skip it if you don't use EazyDiner, though — a 0.4% base earn rate simply isn't competitive on its own. Anyone wanting bigger dining limits (25% instead of 20%, ₹1,000 per transaction rather than ₹500, a full year of Prime instead of three months), along with a 10-point tier on travel and shopping, a ₹7,500 hotel voucher and a complimentary drink, should look at the paid EazyDiner Signature instead. Neither card offers lounge access — this one is simply the free entry point.

2026 3 changes — 3 cuts

▼ Fee Observed 13 May 2026 · Effective 15 Jun 2026

Dynamic Currency Conversion fee doubled 1% → 2%

1% + taxes → 2% + GST

From 15 June 2026 the Dynamic Currency Conversion mark-up — levied when an international transaction, or one at an India-based merchant registered overseas, is billed in rupees rather than the local currency — doubled from 1% to 2% + GST on the EazyDiner Platinum. The paid EazyDiner Signature was held at 1%. DCC is avoidable: always choose to be billed in the merchant's local currency.

▼ Fee Observed 13 May 2026 · Effective 15 Jun 2026

Fuel fee threshold cut ₹50,000 → ₹30,000 a cycle

1% + GST above ₹50,000/cycle → 1% + GST above ₹30,000/cycle

From 15 June 2026 IndusInd charges 1% + GST on cumulative fuel spends above ₹30,000 in a statement cycle on the EazyDiner Platinum, down from the ₹50,000 threshold that applied until 14 June 2026. Notably the paid EazyDiner Signature was placed in the premium ₹50,000 tier, so the free Platinum now carries the tighter fuel ceiling of the two EazyDiner cards. This is a fee on the spend itself, separate from the fuel surcharge waiver.

New 1% fee on transport spends above ₹40,000 a cycle

No transport fee → 1% + GST above ₹40,000/cycle

From 15 June 2026 IndusInd levies 1% + GST on cumulative transport spends above ₹40,000 in a statement cycle — MCCs 4111, 4112, 4131 and 4784, covering cabs, rail, bus and tolls. Air travel is excluded. Only Pioneer Private, Pioneer Heritage and Indus Solitaire are exempt, so this card is in scope.

2025 1 change — 1 cut

▼ Benefit Effective 21 Dec 2025

Complimentary air-accident insurance withdrawn

Complimentary air-accident cover provided with the card → No air-accident cover

On 21 December 2025 IndusInd discontinued the complimentary air-accident insurance feature across its credit cards, stating simply that the coverage "stands discontinued". The bank published no replacement and named no exempt card. Note that several IndusInd product pages still described the cover months afterwards — the Avios, Duo, Pioneer Private and Platinum pages all still advertised it in August 2026 — so a reader may encounter the old wording on IndusInd's own site; the dated withdrawal notice is the operative statement. Other insurance benefits are unaffected: lost-card liability, Total Protect fraud cover, travel insurance and purchase protection continue where the card carried them.

2024 1 change — 1 neutral

◆ Launch Effective 16 Jan 2024

EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Platinum launched as the free entry variant

IndusInd and EazyDiner added a lifetime-free entry tier beneath the paid EazyDiner Signature — nil joining fee, nil annual fee. It bundles a complimentary 3-month EazyDiner Prime membership (guaranteed 25% up to 50% off at 2,000+ premium restaurants), an extra 20% off up to ₹500 per transaction when paying via PayEazy on the EazyDiner app, and Prime renewal for a further 3 months on ₹30,000 of spends every 90 days. Rewards are modest by design: up to 2 Reward Points per ₹100, redeemable instantly against restaurant bills.
