BOBCARD Etihad Guest Premium Credit Card

Mid-tierFee variesTravel

The BOBCARD Etihad Guest Premium doubles every earn rate of its junior sibling and, far more interestingly, charges 0% forex markup. It pays 6 Etihad Guest Miles per ₹100 on Etihad Airways and 2 Miles per ₹100 on all other domestic and cross-border spend — roughly 3% and 1% at a realistic ~50 paise a mile. Miles are not a flexible currency: they sweep automatically into your Etihad Guest account within 3 days of each statement and redeem only through Etihad Guest, so there is no statement credit or voucher route. The status story is the best part of the proposition — complimentary Etihad Guest Silver on your first card transaction, upgrading to Gold once you make a transaction on Etihad.com within six months of issuance. A bonus ladder adds 500 Miles a month on four transactions totalling ₹50,000, 4,000 Miles a quarter on ₹3 lakh, 24,000 Miles a year on ₹12 lakh, and 1,000 Miles for flying Etihad twice in a year. Lounge access is 12 domestic (3 per quarter) and 8 international (2 per quarter) visits. The ₹5,000 fee waives at ₹5 lakh of annual spend and the finance charge is 3.75%/month.

✓ Pros

  • 0% forex markup — rare at a ₹5,000 fee and the single strongest reason to hold this card
  • Etihad Guest Silver on your first transaction, with a clear route to Gold via one Etihad.com booking
  • 6 Miles per ₹100 on Etihad Airways, credited straight into your Etihad Guest account
  • 12 domestic and 8 international lounge visits a year
  • A metal card — your name engraved on solid metal, a headline feature at this fee level
  • 15,000 welcome Miles (~₹7,500) comfortably cover the first-year fee

✕ Cons

  • 2 Miles per ₹100 (~1%) on everyday spend is ordinary at a ₹5,000 fee — the forex and status carry this card, not the earn rate
  • Miles are locked to Etihad Guest — no statement credit, no vouchers, no transfer out, and they expire on Etihad's tier-based schedule
  • The ₹12 lakh annual milestone is a high bar; most holders will never reach the 24,000-Mile bonus
  • A long exclusion list — rent, insurance, telecom, education, government, wallet loads and waiver-eligible fuel earn nothing at all
  • Gold tier needs an Etihad.com transaction within 6 months of issuance — miss the window and you stay Silver

The concern The miles are locked to Etihad Guest with no cash or voucher fallback and Etihad's tier-based expiry, and the 2 Miles per ₹100 base is beaten on everyday spend by transferable-currency cards at the same fee — so the case rests on the 0% forex and the status, not the earn rate.

The bottom line

This card really behaves like two products bundled together. Judged as a zero-forex card, it holds up well: a genuine 0% markup at a ₹5,000 fee, paired with 12 domestic and 8 international lounge visits and a real path to airline status, beats what the fee-free zero-forex options offer. Judged purely on miles, though, it's unremarkable — 2 Miles per ₹100 comes to about 1%, and that value only materializes if Etihad is actually your airline of choice. The sensible way to think about it: the forex waiver and the status track are the reasons to apply, and the miles earn rate is a secondary bonus rather than the main selling point.

BOBCARD Etihad Guest Premium launched

BOBCARD launched the Etihad Guest Premium in January 2026 as the higher tier of its first airline co-brand — two cards created with Etihad Guest after Etihad's earlier SBI Card co-brand was wound down (the SBI Etihad cards closed on 31 March 2026). The super-premium card carries a genuine 0% forex markup, earns 6 Etihad Guest Miles per ₹100 on Etihad Airways and 2 Miles per ₹100 on all other domestic and cross-border spend, grants complimentary Etihad Guest Silver status on the first card transaction with a route to Gold via one Etihad.com booking, and adds 12 domestic (3/quarter) and 8 international (2/quarter) lounge visits a year for a ₹5,000 + GST fee waivable at ₹5 lakh of annual spend. Early applicants onboarded between 5 January and 28 February 2026 received double welcome Miles.
