Axis Bank Flipkart Credit Card
The Axis Flipkart card remains the natural pick for anyone who shops heavily on Flipkart, but two things once true of this card no longer hold: it isn't lifetime-free anymore (there's a ₹500 fee, waived once you clear ₹3.5 lakh in annual spend, not counting rent or wallet loads), and the 5% cashback is no longer unlimited. Following a revision in June 2025, the card now pays 7.5% on Myntra and 5% on both Flipkart and Cleartrip, but each of those three merchants comes with its own ₹4,000 cap per statement quarter — the caps don't combine across merchants, and unused headroom simply disappears at quarter-end. Above that sits a 4% rate on what Axis calls its "preferred merchants," a list the bank keeps private and can revise whenever it likes; the only merchant it names outright in its terms is Swiggy food delivery. Everything else earns a flat 1%. The same June 2025 update also stripped out complimentary lounge access, though the 1% fuel surcharge waiver is still in place. For shoppers who stay loyal to Flipkart and Myntra, it's still a solid card — just one that now comes with a ceiling.
Key features
The core things this card does well.
Welcome Benefit
~₹250 in vouchers, points or cashback on card activation
7.5% on Online Shopping
7.5% on Myntra, capped at ₹4,000 per statement quarter (₹16,000 a year) since the June 2025 revision, which raised Myntra from 1% and ended the unlimited 5% era on the other two partners.
5% on Online Shopping
5% on Flipkart and Cleartrip, each capped at ₹4,000 per statement quarter (₹16,000 a year per merchant). Flipkart Health does not qualify. Surplus above the cap is written off each quarter and never pools across merchants.

Fee of ₹500 + 18% GST (₹590 all-in)/yr fully waived when you spend ₹3,50,000/year
Fuel Surcharge Waiver
1% waiver on fuel transactions, capped at ₹400/month

Should you get it?
Best for: Flipkart loyalist shopper, Myntra fashion buyer during every sale, Big Billion Days maximiser, ₹25K–60K salary, online-first shopper
It sits in the Mid tier and works well as a steady everyday card for online shoppers.
The payoff is strongest if a large share of your spend goes through Online Shopping ( 7.5% back).
✓ Pros
- 7.5% back on Myntra and 5% on Flipkart/Cleartrip, each with its own ₹4,000 quarterly cap
- An uncapped 4% on Axis's preferred merchants (the only one it names is Swiggy food delivery)
- 1% cashback with no ceiling on every other spend category
- The ₹500 fee is waived at ₹3.5 lakh of annual spend, and there's a ₹250 Flipkart voucher on your first transaction
- A 1% fuel surcharge waiver applies on fills between ₹400 and ₹4,000, capped at ₹400 a statement cycle
✕ Cons
- Most of the card's value sits with Flipkart and Myntra — Amazon shoppers would do better with the ICICI Amazon Pay card
- A 3.5% forex markup makes this a poor choice for spending abroad
- No lounge access or other travel-related perks

How to redeem rewards
The main ways to put your cashback to use.
🎁 Statement credit / cashback adjustment

What your Cashback are worth
As a cashback card, the value-per-point question here is more straightforward than for a points-based card.
Statement credit Direct cash adjustment — no conversion
The concern Step outside Flipkart, Myntra and the preferred-merchant list and this card only pays a modest 1%. Worse, that preferred-merchant list — the source of the 4% rate — is neither published nor guaranteed, so treat even that tier as changeable. This is a single-purpose shopping card, not a broad everyday one.
The bottom line
Since the June 2025 devaluation, the Flipkart Axis card has gone from exceptional to simply good: the once-unlimited 5% now comes with ₹4,000-per-quarter caps, lounge access is gone, and the lifetime-free positioning no longer applies. The bump to 7.5% on Myntra is a real win for fashion-focused spenders, but the caps are what actually shape how this card performs now.
