Apollo SBI Card
The Apollo SBI Card is a ₹499 entry-level health co-brand that pays 3X Reward Points per ₹100 (~3%) on Apollo services, stacked with up to 10% instant discount, plus 2X on dining and entertainment and 1 point per ₹200 on other spends. Each point is worth Re. 1 and converts to Apollo Health Credits, with the practical touch of instant redemption right at the Apollo POS counter. A 500-point welcome effectively refunds the fee, a complimentary OneApollo Gold Tier membership layers on extra loyalty benefits, and a 1% fuel surcharge waiver rounds it out. The ₹499 renewal fee is waived on ₹1 lakh of annual spend, but there is no lounge access or travel benefit.

The concern Reward Points stay inside the Apollo ecosystem and general spends earn just 0.5%, so outside Apollo the card barely earns; there is also no lounge or travel benefit.
The bottom line
This is a modest card with a narrow but well-executed job: making Apollo spending cheaper, with the genuinely useful perk of redeeming points instantly at the pharmacy counter. Factor in the welcome points and the spend-based waiver, and the ₹499 fee becomes almost negligible for someone who shops at Apollo regularly. For anyone without an Apollo habit, though, it simply isn't the right fit.
